Indy’s Okayest 90/00’s Alt Rock Cover Band
We started as 3 bowling brother-in-law band buddies. We married 3 sisters (1 each, and not at the same time) and have been hanging out and randomly jamming at family events for over 15 years. Kyle showed up to one of our open mic nights, and now he puts us at a count of 4.
We started out by playing numerous gigs at venues like “The Harbison House” and at “The Loft in Ron’s house” for events such as “Bella’s Birthday Party” and “Easter.” Now, due to high demand from our family, we’re taking our show out of the house and into the general public. You might catch us at a show in Greenwood, Indy, Carmel, or Franklin. Lucky you.
Bios
Ron
Lead Vocals
Ron, the gravel-throated frontman of HouseShot, has been belting out grunge and post-grunge anthems with the kind of passion usually reserved for gas station hot dogs at 2 AM.
With a wardrobe consisting exclusively of thrift store flannel and jeans that have seen better decades, Ron embodies the spirit of a man who refuses to accept that 1998 is over. When he's not growling his way through Plush or Shimmer, he enjoys long walks through the aisles of Guitar Center, pretending he can play guitar.
Isaiah
Bass / Mandolin
Isaiah thought the mandolin was a fun instrument until he got his beard hairs tangled in the bridge during the climax of a solo. Sure, he powered through—but it cost him dearly.
He diligently avoids expertise by focusing on a new instrument after approaching anything like competency on the previous one. Next up, tenor banjo.
Steve
Guitar
Steve, who is often mistakenly identified as "bat boy" from the early 90's tabloids, has been playing guitar on and (mostly) off for 27 years. When he was a teenager, he rushed through songs without regard to accuracy or tempo. He still does—but he used to too.
His guitar playing has been officially recognized by the UN as a non-lethal form of crowd control. He claims to know "all 5" of the chords, and unfortunately insists on playing them.
Kyle
Drums
Kyle is the rhythmic backbone of the band, and he marches to the beat of his own drum. He met our intense qualifications for being in the band because he showed up with his own drum kit, and we desperately needed someone who could count to four.
We don't know much about him yet, except that he shows up on time, hits things in a pleasing order, and hasn't quit…despite hearing us.
